Donna Summer died Thursday morning after a battle with cancer. The Queen of Disco was 63 years old.
The « Hot Stuff » crooner became an icon in the 1970s and went on to win five Grammy Awards. She had massive commercial success, with albums such as 1978’s Bad Girls peaking at No. 1 on the Billboard charts. Bad Girls alone has sold over 2 million copies.
Her last full-length album, Crayons, was released in 2008 and marked a return to form after a 17 year absence from the studio. The album was a triumphant comeback and cracked the Billboard Top 20.
